Merci Beaucoup!

Saides 2010. My date & I up front. My close friend and date in back.
If I had one day to myself, one entire day, I would just sit. Yes, i realize i sound very lazy with that statement but seriously? I need a break. haha. If i'm not a school then i'm either working, doing homework, or playing rugby. Now, to add to that big mess, i have to fill out college applications and decide what to do with my life. The stress of trying to get into BYU alone is enough to cause a stomach ulcer for some people. Especially me. But out of all the crazy things happening in my life lately, i have many things to be very grateful for. There are many things i need to say thanks for. "Merci Beaucoup" means thank you very much in french! En francais as i would usually say. So i'm just going to say thanks for a few things and share with you how incredibly peachy they have made my life lately.

1. Parents. I'm so grateful for my parents. They always seem to know how to be there for me even if we disagree on a lot of things. Last week my mom drove me up to The Gateway to get my ipod fixed. Well not only did we get my ipod fixed, she took me shopping at my favorite places! She knew that the few hours that i spent there were exactly what i needed to get a chance to relax and feel super cute at school. I absolutely love the new coat she bought me at Hollister. It was perfect timing with that one too with the cold weather and everything.

2. My Car. My car is so fun. I'm so grateful for it. If it wasn't for my car i would be walking to school, unable to work, and i would not be able to have as much freedom and independence as i do. Although, i have complained about the interior of my car, i absolutely love it. In fact i'm quite sad that i will be saying goodbye to it within a few years. It already has quite a few miles on it. It also has a new crack in the windsheild thanks to my own stupidity. I forgot that the cold made rock chips worse. Yeah....i'm really upset about that. Now, not only do i have to pay for my own gas, i have to pay to replace the windsheild of my car. But in reality, i do not have to pay insurance. I'm so grateful for it. :) It's so fun and has led to many peachy moments with my friends!

3. My Friends. Where would i be without my friends? I am so blessed to call many many people my close friends. I can trust them all so much and know they would do anything to help me out. They are amazing. I have missed hanging out with them alot since i started working and the few times we do get to hang out they are so great to work around my schedule. A couple of weeks ago i went to Park City with my friend AF, then last weekend i went and watched a scary movie with my friends, and this weekend i'm assuming we'll be doing something crazy. haha. I love it! There is always a peachy moment if i'm with a friend. :)

I'm so excited for life to chill out as soon as i finish college applications and get a scholarship. :) I'm so grateful for so many things in my life. I'm so grateful for everything. If i hadn't taken the time to talk about these things i don't think i would have realized how grateful i am for them. It's moments like these when we take time to say "Merci Beaucoup" that we realize how great we've got it. That is a real peachy moment there. xoxo

Top Twenty 11-15

11. Inception. Leonardo and Ellen Page! Ooo ya! It doens't get better than that! The amazing cast combined with the awesome story line and ridiculous ending are what make this movie incredible!

12. Rataoullie. France and food. Enough said.

13. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's a western musical romance all in one! How could you not love this movie? Cute cowboys, awesome music, and awesome outfits. I admit i wouldn't have a problem wearing one of the dresses the girls wear in this one!

14. A League of Their Own. This one is so funny! It's about the All-American Girls Baseball League during WW11 of WW1. I'm not sure exactly. But that league although it was not around very long basically led to the creation of softball, because women wanted to play baseball, but they couldn't. My old softball coach made us watch this for an assignment once and it is hysterically funny. This movie reminds me of when i played softball and how close my team was.

15. Forever Strong. This is another new favorite of mine. I didn't understand this movie very well until after i started playing rugby. It wasn't until after i understood the determination and strength it takes to play rugby. It also captures the spirit of rugby very well. The spirit of brotherhood that is on every team. The spirit of sisterhood that is on my team. :)

Music

So....pretty much i stink at this blogging thing. hahaha. oops. :) But seriously, life has been crazy lately. It's insane. I'm busy working and going to school and then i'm busy playing rugby! :) RUGBY! :) oh yes! I just got chills when i said that. More like adrenaline just ran through my veins. WOO! We're playing on saturday and i'm scared out of my mind because we don't even have a full team right now. I'm the only prop. In normal english, that means that I just smash heads with a bunch of girls, in the scrum. But i love it! I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Besides rugby, i've been just bouncing around trying to survive. One thing in my life lately that has been more than just peachy has been music. I love music. I live for music. I listen to it non-stop. It is always on. Here are just a few songs that i love:
  1. Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood. I love this song. It's really sad but it is amazing. Look it up. haha. :) My friend recently lost her little sister and it has been really hard for everyone. I was leaving the funeral and i turned on the radio to hear this song playing. It was really fitting but really sad at the same time. It really helped me to remember that this is our temporay home and there are greater and more amazing things for us on the other side.
  2. Just a Dream by Nelly. This song is really cute. I really like it. It's not so rappy but it's not so pop-ish either. It's a good song.
  3. Liar Liar by Never Shout Never. This song is filled with awesome guitar chords and strumming. I love the sounds of alternative rock songs with an acoustic guitar.
These are just a few. But i love music! :) If it wasn't for music i wouldn't make it through the day if it wasn't for music. :) Wow..this is one random post. One random peachy post. Also, maybe if i was good with this blog layout stuff i would be able to add the video to temporary home, but i failed and can't figure it out.

Top Twenty 6-10

And the list goes on.....bLaH, bLaH, bLah.

6. A Walk To Remember (Tear Jerker with this one!)

7. 27 Dresses. I love Katherine Heigl! This movie is so great!

8. Juno. Yes this movie can be inappropriate and crude. But the attitude of Juno MacGuff makes my day every time i watch it! It's hysterically funny!

9. Emma. Another Jane Austen done very well! I love it! I always fall asleep watching this on my ipod in bed.

10. Kate and Leopold. Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman = romantice movie bliss! :)

And yes, I realize that these are all chick flicks. So! I can't help it if all the good movies are chick flicks and depict things that will never actually happen in real life. That is what's so great about them. :)

Where are the peachies?

Well....life is insane. Which is why I haven't been posting very much. I have a job, I go to school, and I had to help control the chaos at my house because my sister got married. The wedding is over and it was beautiful! I couldn't be happier for my sister! It was really fun to elp her get ready and to see her come out of the Temple looking so happy. Now, it's back to reality and I'm busy with school an studying for the act this weekend. But it will be all good. The peachy moments, the peachies, will be back soon! No worries! I'm already full of blog posts in my head. I just don't have time to write them down. Hehehe. But they'll be here soon. I'm going to try and post twice a week from now on. :) enjoy!

For Me and My Gal

I'm just going to write a little spiel here about this awesome movie i watched the other night with my good friend TL. It just climbed it's way onto my top twenty favorites. I loved this movie! It's a 1942 film starring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly. It's actually Gene Kelly's first feature film. His first film on camera, and man, it's amazing. It captures the spirit of Gene Kelly. It captures the spirit of the y.m.c.a and the beginning of traveling musical acts and companies. It's so cute! I love it! It's a mega romance. And everyone knows how much i go crazy over that sappy romance stuff. I love IT! It's a film that i will enjoy forever. I guess i should tell you all what it's about. haha. It features the suave and cocky performer Harry Palmer (Gene Kelly) who is a performer. He meets Jo Hayden (Judy Garland) who is appauled by his shovanistic personality. He asks her out for some coffee and they soon find themselves laughing and enjoying themselves. They decide to become a duo act together and perform together all in the hopes of achieving their dreams of performing at The Palace. As they travel on, Jo falls in love with Harry, and finally he realizes that he loves her back too. Then they soon find out they will be playing at The Palace, so they decide to get married after the performance at The Palace. When they get there, they find out that they have gone to the wrong palace and they then decide not to get married until the first show they play at The Palace. They continue on performing in various venues and they get booked at the real palace. They then receive terrible news that Harry has been drafted into the army and he will be unable to play at the palace. So he hurts his hand on purpose to delay his departure day. But Jo, gets upset that he did that, and so she asks him to leave and they don't see each other for  a long time. Jo goes over to France to sing to the troops, and Harry who was not allowed into the army because of his hand, goes over there later to do the same. But he is lovesick and depressed and the only person he wants to see it Jo. They run into each other in France but Jo willl not stop and talk to Harry. So then anyways, to shorten this up, Harry ends up helping the war effort, and the war ends, and then they all return to New York where Jo is playing at The Palace without Harry. Harry is at the performance and she sees him in the audience. All of their fellow friends gets him onstage and him and Jo pick up their old song like they had never stopped performing it. Then, the flame rekindles between Jo and Harry and everything ends happy. Jo and Harry together, at The Palace. It's really good! I suggest you see it because it really was one of the more than just peachy moments that i had this month.

The Sweet Smelling Scent of Success

I love the smell of baked goods. I walk into a bakery and i'm sold. I will leave with something because i just can't resist the smell of the yummy things. What do i not love the smell of? Let's be serious here......skunks, farms, stinky dogs, sweaty boys in the summer who smell like stinky dogs, and manuer. They all stink. But yoummy things like cakes, brownies, and rolls. :) I think rolls smell so good. Especially Lion House Rolls, they are the super good ones (Well excluding my grammy's homemade butterhorns, nobody can beat those). The day i walked into Deseret Book to buy some rolls for my mom was the day that changed my summer. I walked in and noticed a position avaliable for a pantry worker! HOORAY! Just what i need, a job in the Lion House pantry! :) A job with all those incredible rolls! Oh yeah! So i ran home, filled out the application online, and then waited. I waited about a day before i got a call, a call for an interview. So i went to the interview and then a day later i got the call back for the second interview. Three days later, i went back in for the final final interview with the head hauncho. Oh yikes! I was so so so nervous. But it went well, and i never got a call back. I was so sad. I knew it was because i still had to go to youth conference, girl's camp, and UBW. Fast forward to August 9th, 2010. I get a call from Deseret Book again. Another spot opened up and they want me to come in for another interview. SWEET! So, I go in, and they didn't even interview me. They just told me that they wanted me to work for them. :) SWEET! SUPER PEACHY MOMENT! So I started yesterday. Dang, it was hard. I had to learn alot in one day. It was really hard. But I'm sure that once i get used to the system more, i will be pro. It's so much fun! It's an amazing job. I know that i got this job because i did what i was supposed to and went to youth conference and girl's camp. I'm so grateful for this huge blessing in my life. And so, for the past two days, i have been smelling nothing but the sweet scent of success! Oh! It's super peachy! Nothing beats the smell of it. It's like that feeling you get when you got 100% on a job. It's great. :) It's super super peachy! And now my life is super busy, but nothing compares to this amazing job and the great advantages i'll receive because of it. Did i mention the 25% employee discount?? :)

J'adore Paris!

Is it the Eiffel tower or the Champs-elyssé that makes me swoon? Would it be the metro or the Luxembourge gardens? I don't know what it is but if it has anything to do with Paris, I love it! I listen to french music and I watch movies in French! I love French pastries and I love French parfumes! I have been thinking about France lately and for some reason I can't get enough of it.I have a huge oversized poster in my bedroom. It is a photo that overlooks the city and it catches all of the great views. I have bookends that are like the Eiffel tower and I also have a shirt with the tower on it. Paris captures the spirit of life! It captures everything amazing. "Paris holds the key to your heart!" -Anastasia. One day I will be one of those super glam girlies who sits on a bench, in a trenchcoat styled jacket (hopefully you all know what I'm talking about), and I will read a book. Possibly Emma or Eat,Pray,Love. I will sit with my gelato and think. I will adore the lights and I will do one of the things I wish to accomplish most in my life, speak French. Sounds insane and completely out of reach for some people but, all I want is to experience life, love, and to find happiness. I think I will be happy in France! Even if I don't live there, I will save all my pennies and be very poor so I can vacation there. Now what is so peachy about this?!? Well everything. I may not have experienced this yet, but all the time I have spent thinking, dreaming, and imagining about it has brought me lots of peachy moments. When I bought my Paris picture for my room, I had never been so happy spending money on a thing that probably cost a dollar to make and I pay sixteen for it. But anyways, continuing on with the spirit of finding the things that make you happy, I hope everyone can find their happy place. The place they dream about and the place they imagine themselves at. I know I have even though I hven't quite made it there, yet. XoXo

p.s. Sorry for any typos. I'm posting from my iPod. I don't want to go back and fix the mistakes because it's really hard to. Also I'm sad that you can't post pictures from an iPod. No happy Paris photos for you.:(

What time is it?

9:10: Voicemail message "I really need you to show up. I can't do this on my own. I will send my chihuahas on you if you don't come!" -B. Redd
9:22: Arrive at destination. "We're late!" "At least we brought caramel popcorn!" -Bestie & I
9:30: Watch Alice in Wonderland. Take a break to run through the rainstorm. Eat lots of popcorn and junk!
10:00ish: "Wait did you shed tears?" -Carissa Sears
11ish: Write skit themed in Alice in Wonderland style with a bunch of girls and one guy.
11:30ish: And then there were four.Three girls and a guy.
Midnight: Let's watch Alice in Wonderland the new version.
2:00: Well what now? Let's watch another movie. Bandslam? I think so!
2:30: "Um, could you guys get any closer together?"
3:35: Time for bed! For reals!! Goodnight B and J! Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty! It's time for some girl talk!
4:45: No more giggling, no more laughing, no more joking, no more talking about our senior trip, and no more talking about cute boys. It's time for some beauty sleep. LOL!
9:00 am: "HELP, HELP, Somebody help me!!!!!" -B. Redd's ringtone that woke us up!

So this is basically the schedule of my life a couple of days ago. It was the greatest sleepover of my life! So much fun! My bestie was there and my super close friend K.W. was there and it was so much fun! We only got about four hours of sleep. My poor bestie was awake for 24 hours before we left her fall asleep. LOL! Now you might be asking what is so peachy about this sleepover, well i'm going to tell you that the things that make super peachy keen moments are the days like this. The days when you sit and laugh with your best friends. When you sing All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood at the top of your lungs while driving down the road with the windows down. When you stay up until 4:45 in the morning talking about everything you could imagine. These are the moments when i find myself happiest. It was the constant checking our phones to see what time it was that kept us awake. We were determined to make bestie stay awake for 24 hours. It was so much fun! Laughter is the best medicine, but laughter also creates the best moments in life. The more than just peachy moments are filled with laughter. I hope you all can have one of these nights like i did. Already it has been one of the greatest nights of my life. I will remember it forever. Hopefully you can create a super peachy keen moment like i did this past week.

This was at two before j went to bed. LOL! We are really bad at taking pictures that late!
3:45 a.m. yikes!
This was at ten. K.W. and I before it got crazy. LOL!

uhhhh.....could you be any closer j & bestie???

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

This movie is an incredible classic! I'll just list a few things about this movie:

1. It is a western musical romance! Three of a few of my favorite things mixed into one! Yes! That's how good it is!
2. Cute Cowboys! They fill the screen! Ah! Incredible! I have a soft spot for cowboys.
3. I like this movie more than i like buttered movie theater popcorn. Oh wow! That's huge. Because i enjoy nothing more than popcorn while watching a movie. Nothing rings teenage nostalgia like watching a movie with popcorn. Like watching Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with popcorn. (Speaking of teenage nostaliga: I saw Sixteen Candles the other day. It was terrible. I love everything eighties about it, but it was all about boys and partying and it was a waste of my time. You are not being deprived of anything if you haven't seen this movie.)
4. There is alot of imagining in this movie. Day-dreaming about girls, guys, june marriages, and spring time. But in reality, i feel like this movie is filled with the most realistic day-dreaming. It's cute! It's one of those movies that i'm hoping won't get my hopes up.

Anyways, there is lots more i could write about this movie, but i'm too tired to type anymore. I'm ready to go to sleep or even better watch this wonderful movie! I'm going to watch it right now. If you haven't seen this movie i suggest you do. You are being very deprived of amazingness if you haven't seen this movie. It's super peachy! It's one of those more than just peachy moments when you watch it with your best friends and a large bowl of popcorn. It's even better when you can sing along! :)

Writer's Block

So i have had the worst writers block ever lately! For some reason i'm not getting inspiration to write at all! It's killing me! I think it's because i feel like there are so many incredibly cute blogs out there which i will never be able to compete with. They are so incredible! Some of my friends from school have the best blogs! I'm so jealous. LOL! But also i've come to the conclusion that i do not want this to be a blog where i just write and gab about my life. I would prefer that this be a blog filled with the "peachy" things in my life and not just about my daily doings! So anyways, i will have to start paying attention to the little details of things that make me happy. My latest little splurge which has brought me lots of happiness and it is so peachy it's like Peaches N' Cream was purchased last week. Yes, i will admit to the deed. The awful deed of being drug into buying a sweater at full price at HOLLISTER! Hollister is my favorite store. I absolutely love it! Nothing brings nostalgia of California like when i walk into a Hollister. I'm sold. And I totally smell the clothes when i try them on! I don't care what it is (well i will not buy the booty shorts), but i wil buy it, if it's from Hollister and on sale there. The problem with this sweater is that it was not on sale. But i bought it anyways because i love it so much! It is super peachy keen! It's like a peach without a pit! :) It's great. It was the sweater that has brought me back to my blog. That's how more than just peachy it is. It reminded me of the great things. Hopefully, there will be lost more moments like this. Super peachy goodness. Hopefully, i'll be back to the blog again. :) Oh, how i've missed this! The writer's block is gone!

I can't find a picture of this sweater anywhere. :( I will most definately be adding one of me when i wear it for the first time. AH! I can't wait!

Rascal Flatts

I love Rascal Flatts! They fix everything. Every heartbreak, bad day, or just whenever i feel down. They make me happy. I don't go anywhere without Rascal loaded on my ipods. They have this insatiable affect on me. I can't resist them. Hahaha. When i was in ninth grade they came to SLC and that was the only thing i really wanted for my birthday. So we went, as a family, and that was my birthday present. We had terrible seats. They were definately in the nosebleed section of Energy Soulutions Arena, but it was definately worth it. I would so pay eightie bucks again for a show like theirs. It was incredible. I still remember it. Flashy lights, shoots of fire occasionally, and good music and stage setups. They're awesome. I still get excited when i hear them. When one of their songs shows up in the shuffle of my ipod. I freak. Listening to Rascal Flatts is identical to that feeling i get when i eat a snowcone. It's pure bliss. They really know how to pin point my emotions. I would consider them song writing genuises of modern day country. I love them! They make me so happy. I really love the song, Stand. I like the music video above.

"You get mad, you get strong
wipe your hands, shake it off
then you stand, then you stand"

They give me constant encouragement. To keep going. To get back up, stay strong, and stand. Stand for what i beleive in, what i want, and to fight for myself. If you don't already love Rascal Flatts, listen to them. You will fall in love with them. You will connect to their emotions and they will inspire you. I don't know anyone who doens't love them. Because in reality, Rascal Flatts is way more than Just Peachy!

United Rugby

Rugby is:
  • The only sport where you can tackle someone at any moment and any way as long as it is from the shoulders and down.
  • The only sport where you don't stop after a tackle or after someone gets hurt. You are always moving and the plays go on and on.
  • The only full contact sport for girls!
  • "So it's like soccer and football?" "No, it's like RUGBY!" -Rick Penning in Forever Strong
  • The only sport i've ever played where before the games you kneel under the goal posts and pray as a team.
  • The only sport i've played where your teamates are your sisters.
  • The one thing i'm constantly thinking about.
RUGBY! RUGBY! RUGBY! It's the greatest sport ever. It's incredible. I can't figure out a cute way to explain how much i love rugby. All i can say is that rugby filled a void in my life. One that i was feeling from deciding to give up softball. Softball didn't make me happy anymore. I had lost the passion that was once there. I think after i played high school softball, i just couldn't handle the pressure anymore. Pressure to succeed and to get be a perfect athlete. I was never going to get there in softball. There was just too many things i couldn't fix. But then there was rugby. My friend, The Canadian, mentioned it. I was like what? Rugby? I want to play! We went to an informative meeting and then after that one meeting and one practice I was sold! Everything about rugby fell in place. There have been times when i think my dad has been more excited about it than i have. He went and bought cleats without me, and then when they didn't fit, he drove back down to the store and got more. He payed for everything without complaint. He was so supportive. He gave me pep talks before every game and lectures on how i could improve after every game. He's awesome. In alot of ways i feel like i've always been my dad's son. I'm so athletic, more than any of my sisters, and it was so long before there was a boy in my family. I was the tom-boy growing up. It's one of the reasons why i fell like my dad loves supporting me. I was the closest thing he had to a boy for a long time. I'm so grateful for him and how supportive he's been throughout all the years. I absolutely loved playing rugby. It's an awesome feeling. It feels awesome to run towards someone and be able to just take them out, because you can. Rugby is my outlet. It helps get out the aggression. While i still need to be more aggressive and there are so many things that i can still work on in rugby, nothing makes me more happy than playing rugby. Girls rugby is still really small in Utah. There are only two high school teams right now. It was us, United, and Lowland. We played them all the time. Although we weren't the ones who won most of the time, it was fun to be able to play and learn. We didn't make it to nationals, but we'll be there next year. All i want to do is play rugby and play hard. I'll do whatever it takes to get there. Rugby is what i think about all the time. It makes me so happy.

Last night was the High School National Championship for Rugby, for boys. It came down to Highland and United. The United boys are an incredible team. They are so much fun to watch. They played an incredible game and killed. The final score was United 22 to Highland 17. I was screaming the whole time. I was so happy that they won. This means big things for the club! WOOHOO! Go UNITED!  I couldn't be more proud of the club. I couldn't be more happy playing for any other club.

Rugby and United Rugby is way more than just peachy. Kia Kaha!

Dead Poets Society and Other Things

These past few days have been crazy. There are so many events to cover, all of them were more than just peachy! :)

1) I got accepted to Utah Business Week! YAY! I'm so happy! I'm going to be rooming with my bestie and it's going to be one of the best weeks of my summer. It will be like EFY all over again except it won't be 112 degrees outside. It will also give me a chance to get back at my bestie for how she makes fun of me when i "peed" my pants at efy. I did not pee my pants. My water bottle broke in my purse and it all seeped through and landed on my lap. :) hahaha.

2) I donated blood for the first time on tuesday! It was so cool! I loved it! I am really excited to go do it again, i just have to wait weeks. I filled the bag really fast according to the blood tech. I also have a large vein in my left arm. The tech said it "was bigger than his". haha. I take that as a compliment. I don't care if that is a masculine remark. I felt very accomplished after i donated. My bestie was so nervous to donate but she donated anyways. I was so proud of her! She didn't faint or cry. She was so strong and such a great example to me. She showed me that we can all overcome our fears to help others. Love her to death!

3) I've been working with my friend TL lately to get some shirts made for the Make-A-Wish club at LP for awhile and they were finished this week. I was so happy! They look awesome! He did an awesome job. Everyone loves them! The president was especially happy with them, and my work with Make-A-Wish has definately paid off. The president is talking to me about giving me a more prominent position next year! YAY!

4) I made National Honors Society. WOOHOO! I'm really excited to be a part of that club next year. It focuses on leadership, character, service, and scholarship. It's going to be alot of fun being a part of it for my senior year. I hope I have enough extra-cirriculars now BYU! haha.

5) The Dead Poets Society! This is such a good movie. I watched it last night with my bestie and TL. It was really good. There was so many things i loved about that movie. The actors were really good. O! Captain! My Captain! Robin Williams played him. He was so great. He really shines in that movie. There is constant poetry in that show. Thoreau, Whitman, and others. I loved it! It's about boys in a boarding school who are encourage by their teacher (Robin Williams) to think freely, they start this dead poets society and talk about poetry and do other things. It's so funny. It captures alot of teenage spirit that i love! There isn't a happy ending. I will tell you that now. So, if you hate sad endings don't watch the last twenty minutes, other than that it's a great show.

This is at the end. This is the part where the members of the DPS stood up for what they beleived in. It made the movie for me. If this wasn't in there then i would probably hate this movie, but i love it! :)

6) School is almost over. Things are coming to an end. I've been busy getting my grades up because i have been lazy all term, and while i feel like some things are getting easier, i feel like all of my last minute efforts aren't paying off. Today i made crepes for my french class to get some extra credit and that helped. I now have an A in that class. Whew! (That's my sigh of releif!)

Other than those things, nothing really good has been going on. One more day of school this week and then it's the weekend. I can't wait for the weekend. My piano recital is this weekend. AH! Yikes! We'll see how that goes. haha. Life is more than just peachy. There are so many things that are incredible in life. These are just a few, but there is always something that makes my life wonderful. I can list so many things that i am grateful right now. They all are more than just peachy!

p.s. I tie-dyed a shirt in chemistry today! I did something that no other person in my class did. I can't wait to see it. I'm so excited to wash out the dye and see how good it looks!

p.p.s. I think my most used phrases would be "I can't wait" and "I'm so excited". Sorry if you are getting annoyed of hearing me say those. I'm getting kinda annoyed of them. I will try to expound my vocabulary in future posts.

Breakfast at Tiffany's and Cafe Rio

Today I went to the library. I was mainly going to return some other books. I did that and then i got distracted. Distracted in the cook book section. There were so many! Bread, pastas, deserts, crepes, salads, and everything else. It was very nice. I enjoyed it very much. I just sat and looked at the emmaculate collection for ahwile. Then i picked up three books that i wanted and moved on to the music department. I can't wait to cook out of those books. When i made it to the music section, i found the cd's. In the shows category. Yep, that's right, shows! I picked up fifteen cd's. All of them are soundtracks or musicals. :) that's happiness right there. After the library i went to cafe rio for some much needed fuel. CHICKEN SALAD with pinto beans. It was so good. I felt bad for my puppy Snickers who kept trying to eat it, so i let him lick the plate when i was finished. Even dogs like Cafe Rio. I don't know what makes me feel better than Cafe Rio, and today was one of those days when i really needed it. Now i have the strength to go study for my math final, prepare for my choir concert, and memorize my french presentation. I was listening to the Breakfast at Tiffany's soundtrack and it made me calm and relaxed. I loved it. I will most definately be using it as my new study cd. School is really stressful but it's almost over. WOOHOO! I'm just trying to pull through and make it through these next few days. Tomorow i'm giving blood for the first time. YIKES! But i can't wait even though i'm really nervous. Hopefully my bestie with be able to go give blood at the same time as me so i'll be okay. She got into to Utah Business Week already and i haven't even finished my application. So that's what i'm going to do now. I'm so excited for sumnmer. I'm going to Cali right after school gets out and hopefully i'll have a job. I dropped off applications and resumes everywhere but nothing has come up yet. I talked to the people at Zupas and they said they would call me for an interview soon. WOO! That shows some possibility of a job. I just have to make it through this week and then things will be much better.
I'm now filling out my UBW application, listenting to Breakfast at Tiffany's, on a stomach full of Cafe Rio. These things are more that just peachy! That's for sure!

The Geranium and The FFA

This is me, having my new position given to me.
The FFA a.k.a. Future Farmers of America is the name of the club and crazy is what i was called when i joined it. I joined because i wanted to go to the state fair. That was the only reason why i joined. I had never been and i really wanted to go, once i got there i was really bored and all it was smelly animals and exspensive junk food. But three things came out of that trip. Number 1: I got a really cute knock-off bag that i get compliments on all the time there. It's really cute. I won't explain what it looks like because then you will all know it's a fake. hahaha Number 2: I sampled some of the local fare a.k.a. FOOD! I got this incredible freshly squeezed lemonade in a cute collectable cup. ooo! I love it! It was incredible. I also shared a plate of Chilli Cheese Fries with my friend, N.R.( The name is abbreviated for obvious reasons). Anyways, the fries were great. I loved them. Chilli cheese fries are my favorite junk food indulgence. I never eat them because i'm afraid of having a heart attack, but they are awesome! Number 3: I realized that i wanted to become more involved in the FFA. A few months later i was traveling to Logan to compete in the state FFA competiton in the floral division. It was so much fun and we placed in the Silver division! Wooho! A month after we went to Logan, i applied to be an FFA officer for next year. Today, i was awarded the position of HISTORIAN! WOOO! I'm seriously so excited! I can't wait. Next year at state we will be taking gold for sure! haha.

The Geranium is one of my favorite flowers. I love it. I bought one recently at a greenhouse sale from my school and it has brought me happiness ever since. I planted it in a cute pot yesterday, that was an experience, and i must say that i love it. It's a little crooked but it's so cute. I will most definately be brushing up on my planting skills soon. haha.

My bag, the food, the ffa, and my geranium are all definately more than just peachy!

Rain

Today it rained, alot. I woke up and it was cold and wet and i loved it! It was so great. The smell was enough to make me happy and then when i was walking back to school from seminary it was pouring. The friends and me ran through it trying not to get soaked, but i secretly wished that i could stay out there and jump, splash, and dance all over the place. I loved it. When i was walking home from school, i walked through the puddles that were still there, even though i was in flip flops. I don't know what it is about the rain, but it gets me everytime. Rainy days are great. It has totally been a lazy rainy day. I came home from school and didn't feel good, so i curled up in my favorite grandmother quilt and then i took a nap. It was nice and i feel somewhat better now. The best part of the whole nap, was that my lazy dog, curled up with me under the balnket. It was incredibly cute. It was definately more than just peachy. Back to the rain, it always reminds me of The Notebook. The part where Allie and Noah kiss in the rain! Ah! I love that part it's so freaking romantic. It's so cute. I love The Notebook. It's on my top ten favorite movies for sure. It's so cute, the music is great, and it's full of cute vintage outfits and cars. Love it! I'm playing the theme song from The Notebook in my upcoming piano recital. I love that piece. It's great. It's definately definately more than just peachy!

The Girls With Glasses

These are the girls with glasses. Brooke White and Summer Bellessa. This is by far the cutest thing i've seen in awhile. I almost died when i saw Summer dress up like Audrey Hepburn. Loved it! There isn't a single outfit i do not love in this video. It's incredible. If i only i could get my hands on one of those outfits. It would be pure bliss. :) There is so much vintage in there it's amazing. It's gorgeous, beautiful, and jolie ( that's pretty in french)! I love it, I love it, I love it! Words cannot describe how cute i think it is. Vintage to me is the new modern. There is something about the old vintage style that i find so attractive. It's like Audrey Hepburn in Paris that is how great it is! Lately i've been doing alot of online shopping, minus the purchasing part. One of my favorite sites is modcloth.com, it's modern vintage but way more vintage. It's so cute. If i were to choose a favorite item it would be The Social Event of the Year dress! It's so cute! It's definately 80's inspired and it would never look good on me, but i can hope right? It's pictured below.

These are just two little things that i love that are more than just peachy!

Random title?

Today i'm very bored. So i decided to try out this blogging thing everyone is doing these days. I love writing and somehow words flow more freely in this blog than when i'm writing seven page research papers for school. How ironic?

I have always loved the phrase Just Peachy! Urban Dictionary thought it was used as a sarcastic way to say things are ok. But I don't know why they would say ok. I love peaches! They are more than ok! They are more than just peachy! Things are more than Just Peachy! So that's where the title came from. It may be a little random to you, but i love it. I think it's cute. Because in reality, things are more than just peachy. They are great!

That's hopefully going to be the center of my blog. My life and how things are more than just peachy.

p.s. I'm still getting the hang of this thing, we'll see how it goes.
