Missions, Messes, and Marriages

Brady spent the last weekend visiting his mission area with this dad. Which left me with lots of free time. I spent Friday with some friends venturing to Village Inn and then spent Saturday with my family and working on a project which will be complete soon. Can't tell anyone what it is yet...but it's pretty great! Here's what I've been up to since then:

1) My best friend's boyfriend and good friend of mine and Brady's had is mission farewell this past Sunday! Brady got back back just in time for his fareweill! We were so happy to be able to spend some time with him before he left. We spent some time hanging out with friends and his family after church. Talk about awesome! These Samoans know how to throw a party! Great food and fun! We spent three hours laughing, eating, and playing volleyball together. I'm really going to miss our friend and I can't wait for him to get back so that we can double with him and Brook again!

From Left to Right: Brady, Me, Kelsi, Jared (the missisonary), Brooklyn (his girl), Mariah, Annie, Taylor, and Dallin. The last time we'll all be together for awhile!
2) Monday was my apartment's cleaning check. It was nuts. Basically all of us had spent the weekend away with our families and we had left the place in a huge mess. We all came back within five hours before the cleaning check and spent all of that time cleaning like mad people. It was exhausting. I'm so glad we passed. I'm even more glad that they are going to replace the carpet in our bedrooms! Yay! We need it so bad. Now, we just have to be good and keep the apartment clean until the new roommates move in. I'm sad i'm going to be losing five great roomies. I love them so much! But i'm excited for the new school year to start and for the opportunity to meet some new friends.

3) My old roommate Kaitlyn got married on Monday! We rushed up to SLC after we finished our cleaning check to go to her reception! I'm so happy for her! I had a great time living with her! I'm really glad we got to be roommates! We all took dates to her reception and had a fun time exploring temple square and Salt Lake that night. Brady and I love spending time together in the car. We were the odd couple out that ended up in our own car. I'm glad we did though. We always have something to talk about and time flies. I'm going to miss our long drives and deep conversations.

From Left to Right: Jake and Jessica, Devin and Josie, Katie and Tom, Sterling and Maraika, Me and Brady
Katie, Me, Kaitlyn, Maraika, and Jessica. So happy for her! She looked stunning!
4) Last night Jess, Josie, and me all ended up at Walmart buying movies, junk food, and lots of other things we probably don't need. haha! We also made a stop at Panda Express before finding ourselves at home watching The Prince & Me. This also prompted queso making and chocolate eating. Oh goodness...did I feel sick! But it was so much fun! I'm going to miss these girls so much!

5) I'm currently sitting on my couch doing absolutely nothing. Well not nothing, i'm watching my third movie of the day with my roommate Josie. It's only 11:20 am so far and we've already watched How to Train Your Dragon and The Lion King. We're now starting The Invisible! It's one of my favorites! Who knows what we'll do next! But seriously, taking a day off feels so good!

Summer is almost over. It's been a good one. It's been filled with adventure. And i'm determined to enjoy the rest of what's left of it. Life is more than just peachy! Enjoy it!

The Summer List

The Summer List:
  1. Go hiking! The Y and Stewart Falls are a must!
  2. Watch Despicable Me with my boyfriend! That is one of my favorite movies and he has not seen it yet. That's almost a crime.
  3. Go up to Silver Lake. I love this place! It's so much fun to go swimming there! It's beautiful! I'm curious to see if my Camry, Gus Gus, can make it up there with his new mud/snow tires my dad put on!
  4. Sleep out on the deck! This is a tradition among my sisters and friends! We have spent a lot of time out there.
  5.  Girls night! YES! I'm moving away, my friends are moving away, and we need one last party before we move.
  6. I really wanted to go backpacking this summer. I think it would be so much fun. So we'll see. If i could go on a short hike for even one night then i would be satisfied.
  7. Ride the Sundance lift on a full moon night! :) I really want to do this one! It sounds like it would be so much fun!
  8. Go to Sliding Rock.
  9. Go mountain biking, probably up at Sundance or up in AF canyon. It's so pretty up there!
I don't know how I'm going to fit all these in, but i know I've got to! I'm having another foot surgery in between summer and fall semesters so that takes up even more time. Not to mention i have to move out in that time too. Lamesauce. But I will somehow find a way to do all of this stuff. I love all of these! :) They are so more than just peachy so they obviously have got to get checked off the list!

(1-12) Days of Summer

Summer has started! It's been so great so far! I start college on June 20th which is a total bummer, but it's all good because that has meant that i've spent the very small amount of summer that i actually have doing really fun things! It's been ridiculous! I love it!

(1) Wednesday, June 1st: We kicked things off by having a campfire at Kelsi's house. We played sardines, roasted marshmallows, and fought over a bridge! :)

(2) Thursday, June 2nd: GRADUATION!

(3) Friday, June 3rd: We went to the all night party after graduation. We left at 11:30 on Thursday and then we got home at 5:30 in the morning! It was so much fun! Mini-golf, pizza, rides, and movies. Boyfriend gave me a gorgeous graduation gift! It was a great morning!

(4) Saturday, June 4th: Played night games with friends. Fell down a weed hill and landed in a hole! haha!
(5) Sunday, June 5th: Caught up on lots of lost sleep from over the weekend!

(6) Monday, June 6th:  My boyfriend came back from Colorado so we caught up after not seeing each other all weekend! We watched The Bachelorette (not our choice, his family's) and Taken. We laughed, talked, and were happy to see each other.

(7) Tuesday, June 7th: Went to the pool with my brother and cousin and then the boyfriend and I hung out again because i was ridiculously bored! It was good getting to talk to him for a long time.

(8) Wednesday, June 8th: Got a job! WOOHOO! I got a job down at BYU! YAY! I'm very excited to start in two weeks! I celebrated by shopping at Hollister, going to Cafe Rio with Kelsi and Annie, and then
watching SYTYCD with them and my boyfriend! Yes, he totally watched it just for me! It was so fun!

(9) Thursday, June 9th: Annie had shoulder surgery. We all got her treats and went and visited her. It was the four girls: Kelsi, Annie, Brooklyn, and me. And then there was the four boys: Taylor, Quincy, Jared, and my boyfriend Brady! :) We watched a very creepy movie called The Others.

(10) Friday, June 10th: I went to dinner with my parents and old family friends. Then Brady and I went to Orange Leaf later and hung out again. I guess you could say that Brady and I see each other alot, but we really don't. This week was a funky exception. It was really fun!

(11) Saturday, June 11th: Brady and I went on a double date with Brooklyn and Jared. We saw the new X-men movie and went to dinner. It was fun going out not only another couple, but two really close friends. It was great!

(12) Sunday, June 12th: Packing for our trip to Island Park. I'm very excited to go but also very sad that i am going to be spending my last week before school starts away from my friends.

There was not a day so far this summer when i was not doing something so fun! Every single day was filled with moments of laughter! I guess I should just call this the Summer of The Peachies. Because life is definitely more than just peachy!
